Firstly, Christians believe in the holiness of God. God is seen as the ultimate embodiment of perfection and righteousness, far beyond the comprehension of human beings. His holiness sets Him apart from all creation. Recognizing this, Christians acknowledge that no human actions or thoughts can attain the level of holiness expected by God. Scripture states, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. This humbling truth emphasizes the need for God’s grace, as no human actions or thoughts can meet His expectations.

Secondly, Christians believe in the atonement for sin through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. God, in His boundless love and mercy, provided a solution to reconcile humanity with Himself. He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to bear the burden of sin and offer salvation to all who believe in Him. The death of Jesus on the cross is seen as the ultimate sacrifice, and His blood is viewed as the atonement for the sins committed by those who have faith in Him.

Lastly, Christians understand that salvation and eternal life are obtained through faith in Jesus Christ. By acknowledging their fallen nature, repenting for their sins, and proclaiming their faith in Jesus as the Savior who died for their sins, believers receive salvation. This acceptance and faith become the foundation of their relationship with God and grant them the assurance of eternal life.

“The Lord is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.” – 2 Chronicles 15:2
